Deregulation

What is Deregulation and what does it mean for you?

SINCE THE TEXAS PUC DEREGULATED, A DOOR OPENED FOR OTHER UTILITY SERVICE PROVIDERS TO COME IN AND PROVIDE LOWER RATES FOR CUSTOMERS. OUR COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS HAVE SAVED AN AVERAGE OF 15% BY SWITCHING TO US.

The push for deregulation of natural gas and electric utilities came about when the Federal Energy Regulation Commission (FERC) determined that it should limit its authority in wholesale generation markets. This decision cleared the way for individual states like Texas to determine the manner in which they should allow retail pricing competition.

Deregulation removes or simplifies the government rules and regulations that restrict the operation of market forces. Deregulation does not eliminate the laws against fraud, however it does take away or reduce the government’s control of how business is done, thus moving toward a more free market.

With smart energy management policies and a better understanding of the marketplace, businesses can save thousands and in some cases millions of dollars in electricity costs over a period of 3 to 5 years

This means you can now decide which gas and electricity comes into your home or business.
